Starting his path to becoming a barber at the tender age of 16, Israel has spent most of his life in the barbershop. Before joining us at our New York City Barber shop, Israel was freelancing. He sees barbering as more than a profession, but rather a whole lifestyle – and knows that the best part of being a barber is that you help other people look and feel great through your work.
An expert at classic cuts and fades, Israel is also a talented wet shaver and is known for his precision work with scissors and the straight edge. He’s worked on a number of TV shows and magazine shoots and has trimmed and styled the hair of a number of famous faces. Also known for taking part in a number of events and shows, Israel was also one of the barbers on the first Movember campaign. He spends his free time with his family – and you can sometimes find his son sweeping up at the barbershop! We know he’ll follow in his dad’s footsteps.
Starting out by playing with his dad’s clippers as a teenager, Omar has been barbering for half of his life. Over the past 15 years, Omar has been barbering across New Jersey and has previously worked as a barber in the upper East side before joining us at Pall Mall Barbers New York City. Barber in Manhattan understands how important barbershops are to communities and as space for men to take care of themselves and each other – and he’s well known as a brilliant storyteller and listening ear.
He recognizes the power of a good haircut to change people’s moods – and is a specialist with fades and classic business looks, as well as giving wet shaves with the straight edge razor. Omar also says that a great wet shave is one of the finer things in life. A voracious reader of both fiction and non-fiction, Omar loves spending his free time with his family and dog.
Determined to rid the world of bad haircuts, Kelli has been cutting hair since the early 90s. She has been a freelance barber and hairdresser and worked as a barber in exclusive Clubs as well as in a barbershop back in her home town of Baltimore.
Kelli’s favourite styles are versatile cuts that can achieve a variety of styles by using different products – she’s an expert at helping you find the product for your hair type and style, as well as having amazing scissor work and excels at being thorough – refusing to leave a hair out place. She’s also currently refining her wet shaving skills.
Kelli is proud to join the Barber near by team and loves the history of the brand and comradery of the international team. When she’s not at the barbers’ chair, Kelli can be found spending time with her loved ones and her dog – and loves nothing more than getting away to the beach. She’s also a keen home gardener and is learning the ukulele!
Claribel joins our talented New York team with over 18 years in the hair industry behind her. Claribel loves building a connection with her clients and making people look and feel great every day. She is an expert at both longer length styles and short clean cuts and is well known for her excellent beard styling skills.
Away from the barbershop, Claribel loves spending time with her family and cooking Mexican food! She also enjoys keeping active by going to the gym, doing yoga and dancing.
